It seems that your first 'promotion' will be pure spam.
I do not know where you get your list from but be careful if it is not targeted to your site niche. You can loose the domain very easy & fast.
May be this will be better to actually start from articles, classified, etc, gather the list and then send emails? You decide.

He is very correct...you send too many spam, you may be banned. Go the proper way and you can learn along the way... don't forget to list your site on as many directories as you can find...good luck!
