So I am using hostgator baby plan for my web hosting. I can get unlimited domains on this plan. Right now I am setting up a basic niche site with my primary domain. It is very noobish because I am not cloaking links and I am just ripping reviews from other sites. It's basically just a test site.

So my question is, since I will probably get heavily penalized from this site, will it affect any other websites that I put up on the same hosting plan?

Also, do penalties get removed or anything? Say after a couple weeks I decide to make my site legit. Would the previously noobish history affect the future of my site?

Does HostGator set up multiple domains as 1 primary and the rest as subdomains?

You can setup multiple domains with no prob...

Op, you should have no problem once this test is complete... but if you setup a bunch of duplicate content you may damage this domain completely... (aka, it might be de-indexed). If you don't mind burning the domain, go ahead with the test... if not, write new articles or pay someone else to and post them instead.

Not sure. What would that have to do with anything?

Ok I looked it up and it is an add-on domain which is basically a subdomain.

Hostgator does allow multiple domains... their addon domains are seperate domains - I have about 10 on mine right now.

So do you think all of your sites rank independently of one another?
