Hello everyone, keep up with the great work I have been learning so much.

The title pretty much explains it, but what kind of search volume would you suggest for a medium difficulty keyword?

If a longtail keyword has for example 100 search results, should I go for it or have I misunderstood how long tail keywords are supposed to work?

Is competition of the keyword important to you?

Thank you very much for reading this!
Have a lovely day

Of course, competitor analysis is a great part of keywords research. You have to check keywords difficulty before you for keywords.
Search volume doesn't matter if you can rank for keywords. Generally, No one rank with one keyword for a site. There will huge keywords on content and those also give you traffic. But exact match keywords are good for ranking. You should not go for 100 search volume keyword as the main article. It can be your Supporting keyword. If there is no keyword with high search volume then it's oky. :) Happy learning.

Thank you very much for the advice.

I don't fully understand this part though " Search volume doesn't matter if you can rank for keywords" could you explain it a little bit more, please? My take on this is, search volume doesn't matter because keywords are more important, it provides the search volume, is that correct?

I see, so my primary keyword should say 100k search volume and my secondary doesn't matter too much.

Thank you for your reply
Have a good day working hard!

Keywords ranking means traffic from google. If you select 1000 search volume keyword and get a position in 10 and you get 50-60 visitor daily. On the other hand of you get a position in 1 with The 100 search volume keywords and get 100 visitors this is far better.

Yes Keyword is the Backbone of the website. So you have to know the keyword difficulty, because keywords only determine how much you have to spend to rank your website on top and how long should you wait.

100 Search result is not enough, just try to use 1000+ USA monthly searches to get 300+ unique visitors per month. If it is a trendy keyword, then the search volume will increase.
