Noob questions about hosting, need your help!

Hi guys, Im new here at BHW,

I want to open a review site, therefore I need a domain and hosting.
I never bought or hosted anything so any advice will be welcome.
I will build it using WP.

My questions are related to the costs and a recommended hosting comp.
I believe that the domain register fee is up to 10 bucks.

But what about the hosting?
Can you recommend me a decent hosting according to my needs thats now too expensive?
And what would be a fair price if I wanna pay for it 6 month ahead?

Normally, I get my domain from namecheap for $10 and host from Hostagtor for $9.95 or so. Gator charges $15 for domain and being someone with hundreds of domains, a little discount of $5 can mean a good savings.

There is public discount on namecheap for one year hosting go for it, too low rate with good service.

The 9.95$ is per month right?

Hostgator is like 5 dollars. Get cheap hosting.

I'd go with GoDaddy. Since you're new to webhosting GoDaddy makes it very easy If you buy both the domain and hosting with them. Plus you can always find up to date coupon codes to bring the price down. At the moment they have a special on basic hosting for $2.99 a month.

I would not advise Godaddy. They will upsell you to death, plus they are way too annoying for both domains and hosting.For hosting, do Hostgator (use 1 cent coupon for first month) There are even sites which will give you a share of the affiliate commission they receive (google it)For domains, namecheap is good.
