when i auto-create backlinks for my website, they give me an option to copy or download them? do i have to do anything else once a site has created the backlinks for me?

really that depends on how you are planning to use them or better you may just continue working on getting new backlinks

It sounds to me like you don't understand the link-building/SEO process or reasoning at all...

Spend some time reading the threads here and download some SEO ebooks; just to understand the basics.
