I'm pretty new to blogging/website owning and what not..

I'm looking to open a new website to help make money. I have some questions.
1. Is iPage a good host? It's the cheapest legit host i can find.
2. Once I own the site, i can put any ads on it that i want, correct?

1. you already know the answer.
2. you can up to adds, but for that traffic conc. matters of course, as you are new to this you gotta upload new site content on daily basis to keep it running brightly

What? Just make website and earn money? That's it? Its not so easy dude.
For hosting - Go for hostgator as cheapest and best with no annual contract means you can pay monthly.
For domain - namecheap is best but godaddy is cheapest.
You need to do research on keywords, niches , then get a tld of keyword rich domain , need to put content , do some seo work and then roll on to put ads on the blog.
