i have a very noob question does facebook pages and profile and twitter gives you backlinks

No they dont gines any backlinks but you can get traffic from them

No, They dont give you backlinks, but i don't think they devalue the links because the Big G want to see you active in social networks. One that is active in social networks is clearly trying to build their business. It is a good reflection in the eyes of the BIg G. it might not be Dfollow but they can still be indexed by google and provide PR.
