How much traffic can you get from building a link wheel ?? Alot are these better than backlinks ? I take it you can have 100's of link wheels or is a few enough ?? This is the method i am using

    Step 1
Write a Squidoo lens about your website topic. Then put a link in your Squidoo lens back to your website. You can open an account at Squidoo by clicking on the link in the resources section of this article.
    Step 2
Write an article about your topic and submit it to any of the online article directories. You can use GoArticles or Ezinearticles or any of the other many article directories online. Include a link back to your Squidoo lens in your article or resource box.
    Step 3
Create a Hubpage about your topic and link it back to the article that you wrote in step 2. You can open a Hubpages account by clicking on the link in the resources section.
    Step 4
Create a Google Knol about your topic and include a link back to your Hubpage.
    Step 5
Make a one page Blogger blog and link it back to your Google Knol. You can actually use the same Blogger blog to place links for many different link wheels.
    Step 6
At this point you can either choose to leave the wheel as it is, and leave it "open" or you can close the wheel by linking your website back to your Blogger blog. Either way, you will see your website rise in the search engines over the next week or two.

I have done this are these any good ?

    Thanks,

    Andy

That all depends on how good your topic, keywords, content and niche.

You can't put numbers on it based on what you use...it is only a small factor in the formula

There are different niches in my site finance tips/shopping tips/ computer tips etc etc so im trying to create wheels for the 5 different niches.

So this is going to take a long time to do......What would be considered enough if you had decent content/keywords 20 link wheels or 500........500 would be considered blackhat ?

With thanks to greywolf while reading one of his posts which i thank him for :-

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ch-engine-optimization-practices-newbies.html

I read about link wheels on site seo and off site.....this is why ive started to look round and ask about them thanks again to greywolf for pushing me in this direction.

There are different structures when you start making link wheels... You need to study more, get more web 2.0 in your link wheel and better connectivity...

But keep it in mind as suggested by others link wheels can't guarantee you ranking or visitors in search engines... They help but not final words...

About how effective they are, it all depends upon how you making them... Normal backlinks vs linkwheels... If linkwheels are properly connected then they support each other along with your money site and increasing authority of individual of them so more link juice to your site... If done it can be very effective tool...

You might get some visitors from your individual spokes but real traffic i mean with volume traffic will come with ranking... Competition, quality of work and your competition will decide your ranking...

    Good Luck...

Depends on your copywrite skills too. If you turn out gibberish the linkwheel isn't going to drive anything.

Rewriting articles would be ok. Wouldnt just copying them and spinning them

I'm not talking about just rewriting whats already out there, but being able to engage the reader and move them to the action you want them to take
