How strict is FB with IPs and multiple accounts?

For example, I use FB with my real account. But if I want to have a fake account, would I be able to login with the same IP?

Will they ban both accounts for this?

Any insight appreciated.

more then likely yes, if you are using the fake account for marketing purposes

What if i use my AOL account to generate an IP address like 205.xxx.xxx etc?

Ive got ten through the same ip.

Three got banned because i was adding friends too quickly, the other seven are still accessible and fully working.

So in my experience it dont matter.

I don't think FB has an issue with accounts on the same IP. I mean, most people in 3rd world countries access FB from public cybercafes, i.e. same IP. The problem comes in when they detect you are adding friends at a fast rate using the blasters. They will only ban the account that they find suspicious. I have 5 fake FB profile that I use on the same IP and have never been banned.

This makes me feel a lot better. Thanks!

can you back that up with any real examples or experiences?

because I've only heard the contrary from people on here.

I'd also be interested because a majority of others said its OK.

Facebook is not looking at IPs like that. There are numerous legitimate situations where multiple different accounts would be using the same IP. Cybercafes, office buildings, universities, library terminals, anon proxies, etc all use the same or a very small pool of ip address to access the internet. My office has 30k people using the same external IP, for example.

I promise there are more valid accounts using the same IP then fake marketing accounts.

it's absolutely okey to use multiple accounts from the same IP.
Accounts from the same IP, in no way, point that they belong to the same person. But if they are from different IPs, you get more liberty in pushing the limits (adding friends faster etc) as your other accounts can't be linked together.....
but as long as you're keeping it under the radar it's fine.
(Try different methods if using the same ip....'cos people from cafe vary with their surfing habits and using accounts....so spam differently with different approaches from each account if you CAN....and you'll be fine.)
