Could someone explain in layman terms what the addon's do or what they are used to accomplish?

Would like to try and get the most out of this piece of software.

Thanks to all who have been great help in the past.

Hey,

Addons are additional applications in SB, that can accomplish some thing that SB does not have built in by default.
For instance, checking if your links are ******** or nofollow

You can access them from Addons in menu bar (installed addons will be listed there)

If you go to Add-ons -> Show Available Add-ons, there's a brief description of what each one does. So many, that do so much...which ones will be of the most use to you at any given time will vary depending on what you're trying to achieve. But for the most part they're fairly self-explanatory, and can best be leveraged in campaigns (e.g. scrape, check alive, check PR of alive, et cetera before blasting as one example).

They are really good for analysis work. The blog Analyser will improve the ratio of submitable vs non submittable blog in your list. The addons are mostly good as editors of ur text files

Excellent point. And it led me to think that my reference to using them in "campaigns" is somewhat off.

The add-on's alone are more than worth the price of sbox. They can do a lot on their own, or daisy-chained. As part of a larger effort (such as a well-structured commenting spree, or massive competitive research, or the like), they can be incredibly powerful. But in and of themselves, analysing sites (others or your own), scraping images, bulk whois scraping, extracing links, checking OBL...tonne of horsepower in there.

SB Chess and MP3 player are still my favourites for sentimental reasons :)
