hello. i was just wondering if someone would be so kind as to answer this question...

if a lead clicks on my banner ad on my site that leads to an offer, can the CPA company see how the traffic got to my site originally?

    for example:
i send the link to my site to the potential lead
they click on the ad which leads them to the offer
    they fill out the offer

can the cpa company see how the lead originally got to my site?

    thanks for the help!

If the link you place on your site contains a tracking code then they will be able to see how you got your traffic.

If you place a simple link on your site and it just uses a custom tracking url ie. |cpa.xxx/noskool-vendorID|then they will not know.

Sorry if I confused you, let me be a bit more specific:

I don't care if the cpa network knows that the traffic came from my site, I just don't want them figuring out the site the traffic were on BEFORE the lead goes to MY site.

    Is this possible?

    Remember it goes like this:
    1. Traffic is on site I don't want my CPA company to see (NOT OK for CPA to see this site)

    2. Traffic goes to MY site and clicks on the banner for the offer (OK for CPA to see this site)

    3. Traffic completes offer (OK for CPA to see this site)

Afaik .. the browser of the surfer only shows the last address, the user has clicked.
And that is your server and your affiliate code.
But to be sure ask Aunty Google?

    EDIT:
    Sorry, the above is wrong!

Searched a bit here in the forum and found this:
"saycooc" says, also the referrers before your site could be seen.
And he also posted a simple, but safe solution for this problem.
