NOOB Question about monetizing a blog - landing pages.

I have several autoblogs running, with which I mix in original content as well. Other than the adsense on the site, almost every post is pitching one kind of affiliate product or another.

My adsense conversions are decent, however, I'm just not getting the affiliate sales.

So my question is:

1. Should a wordpress blog entry for an affiliate product be a direcct sales pitch with a buy it now link?

Or

2. Should a wordpress blog entry for an affiliate product be presented as a review/article for the product and link to the products sales page?

Or

3. Should a wordpress blog entry for an affiliate product be in the for of a review/article and link to your own home-made landing page?

Or

4. Something else entirely?
