Noob Proxy Question

    Why do I need proxies for doing BH? What exactly do proxies do? Sorry for the noob question just trying to plug into this world....

    This would easily be answered by google.

    The point of a proxy is to make it more difficult to determine the origin of traffic by routing it through an intermediary. Your traffic travels first to the proxy, then to its destination so that if someone were to casually check the source of the traffic, they see the proxy, not you.

    This should also make it clear why bh'ers use proxies.

    Free proxies can be dangerous. They are frequently compromised computers. Additionally, they are sometimes setup as honeypots.
