Write articles. That's how I started out. If you write really well and build up rep you can charge.
Look at what your clients do. Some of them are noobs but some are the real thing.
While writing learn a system for free. There are heaps of tools and info here on BHW. Pick one: adsense, CPA, ewhoring, CB, anything.
Reinvest your earnings (or a portion) into that system. In the meantime, make friends among IMers and try to give to the IM society. Cliche, but when you give you get a lot more back. Nobody is going to help someone they don't know. But help someone out - and you can ask them for a bit of advise or help. DON'T overdo the help requests - nobody gives handouts.

I think you have that a little backwards. Maybe on other forums 95 percent don't make money, but I rarely hear about someone doing anything from here and making nothing from it. The trick is that you have to actually do it. Internet money is freely available for anyone who wants to take it. You can write one page of something and act like you know what you are talking about and make money from adsense if nothing else. I just rewrote a free plr article with a spinner in about 5 minutes, put it up on a site and made a buck from it the very next day.
Noob, if you want quick cash, go to the buy sell trade section and look for someone looking for workers. That will get you started. Learn from the things they are having you do, then do them yourself in your free time to build your own business.

Like the others said, get one of those sucky day jobs so that you can save up to get all the tools to bring home the cheese later on. If you really think about it, doing blackhat is really like skirting the system. I mean come on, who do you know that is making hundreds or thousands a day? So if you want to join this team you have to INVEST which is different than just throwing your money at something and praying that it works.
