I am using a free VPN - Hotspot sheild.... when i check my ip thru google it tells me one ip address..say 10.0.0.1 ! But when i check it thru other sites like an and others it tells me a completly diffrent IP address. say 20.0.0.2 ! Two completely unrelated. Why is google showing one IP and all the others showing a diffrent one.I am far from a black hat, not even a script kiddie...All i want it to find a VPN service to simple hide my IP Adress on all levels....especially HTTP. I have had much trouble trying to configure Open VPN and it is very confusing for my.Is their anyway i can tell if my VPN/proxy is transparent? An easy way? Also, there are so many VPN services...i do not mind paying for one that provides good service and preferably no logs, not that im do ing anything illegal but i just want to keep my privacy. Does anyone recommend a VPN service PAYED VPN service that can provide me with high bandwith, Absolute high anonymity, with no disconnects, preferably an auto-disconnect feture if my VPN drops.Anyone who can help my i really appreciate it.I'm not sure if this is the right placec for this post so i apoligize if i should be posting elsewhereRespect, ForkLift

I was able to use Hotspotshield too, the trial one, but I hate ads so I dropped them off and uninstalled. I recommend Cyberghost, ProXPN and the one most people use is I think strongVPN. Goodluck!

I use OpenVPN and it works like a charm. Couple of issues I've found using VPN services that usually get overlooked.

1: Try running it as a administrator as more often than not the clients write to a config file and interact with network adapter settings.

2: Run using XP compatibility mode as vista + have UAC annoyances (ofcourse i'm assuming you are not a mac junkie)
