I've been reading around and I've done a couple of the things suggested and some were out dated and broken links. I'm looking for help to drive traffic to my site and backlinks look like a good way. I tried some twiter things and that kinda worked till I got booted. but I dunno what the hell I'm doing. But I can follow directions pretty well. Any help is much appreciated! Some of the simplest things to you guys I probably haven't even imagined is possible. I was checking out the IBP. I can't really afford to spend any money right now. but I do have some time.

Good way to start to build traffic is uploading a video to youtube (anything popular and link your site)
Related yahoo answers works extremely well also.

One of the best ways is through videos, and articles. Also by setting up link exchanges with other similar sites. Also search for website directories and check out the download section for high pr links. I recommend you get seo spyglass and spy on other peoples backlinks.

Do a lot more research on backlinks and what they can do for your site rankings. A good place to get started is the "search" button on the top of BHW or just read through the forums.

check out the SEO Powersuite, it's free in the downloads section (that is, pirated)... that way you don't have to spend any money on tools. Market Samurai is in there too.
