    Move this here?: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/f126-web-design/

    hey,

I want to start a local shop. Have everything set up except web part.
My idea is to make a homepage where I would have a video/call to action element in the middle below header.
Below that you would see 3 products (element in which I can add or remove more products), which contain photo, price, attributes and call to action each. Maybe you can expand them to read more about a product. You can buy them via preferred payment option without registration without many steps.
    Below some meat for SEO.
At the bottom You would see credentials, map, and social things in a footer.
In this website should be a place for articles like blog or something similar (it can be reached from footer or from header if it is necessary).

    I have two problems:

I don't know what theme to choose from that I could build my requirements easily or someone would do them easily and that theme would be fast enough for Google speed insights test and just for people, I mean not server side issues of course.

    What you think?
Maybe you can recommend something how should I continue from this point? A theme? A WP builder, framework (that is how you name it)?

wordpress is easy to customize and flexible. there are literally thousands of themes out there that you could choose and customize to your preferences as stated above.

But for example if I will go to Themeforest and will check some popular items I will find such items like: Avada, X, Enfold. Those are gigantic in size and capabilities, maybe too complex. Also what about speed with these themes? Aren't they slow?

Maybe I need to get HTML solution and use Wordpress just for articles to attract some organic traffic?

Yes many themes can be very large and contain a lot of additional and sometimes useless assets. In many cases this is the inclusion and execution of quite a bit of JavaScript code. This can certainly increase loading times. I usually strip out as much as possible from a theme in order to reduce load times. It also doesn't hurt to limit the amount of plugins you use as well.
