Noob Backlink Question

I build my main company site with Wordpress. Did some SEO and added a little autoblog thing just to keep the content rolling.

Now, I'm getting SLAMMED with spam comments. I'm wondering if these comments do anything TO or FOR my ranking on google?

nope go in and change the settings so people cant make comments on the site. people are just using programs to scrap sites and then try and post to build links to their site.

You're site probably ended up on a SB AA list.

You can open your comment option but not AA.It will give you some traffic and after every few days you can delete all.
