Noob Backlink Question...........

First post in this thread, been living in the Craigslist Forum since joining.

I used LinkPanda to get 12,500 backlinks. I know some are pretty worthless but even though it's just been over a week and all the backlinks aren't "scored or counted" yet (or whatever you pros call the process) my page ranking and search results have improved.

I've read where G doesn't like BS backlinks and has de-listed sites because of it. Anyone experienced this and can tell me when to "back off" and call it a day?

I had them use keywords like "city state product" "city st product" and three different "product" descriptions.

I was thinking about using another 12,500 just for "city product" since those seem to be the main words searched here.

FWIW: I'm just a local vendor and not looking for national page ranking, just my local market which Google sees (where you are) when you search.

Sometimes google don't show your backlinks.
You can use yahoo site explorer instead.

If you need good ranking in local/international market then you must go quality link building rather than quantity.

Maybe my question got lost in the post. Here's what I was looking for.........

its not just a question of quantity, its all about consistancy in my experience.

what i mean by that, you can blast 100 links a day or 10,000 links a day to your site, but the key is to keep the incoming links consistant in volume

I currently do 500 new links per day because i cant get the time to create 10k new links each day

There is no penalty. Blast away. If anyone tells you Google penalizes for bad links, punch them in the face please. I'm starting this punching movement to get rid of misinfomation, so please make sure the next time someone tells you that google penalizes for inbound links you punch them in the face.

Together we can stop misinformation and hysteria.

what he said, i would reccomend trying to get quality links done yourself or find someone who focuses on them rather than buying millions of bs links off a spam artist

Yes, Google devalue poor quality irrelevant link on your website. Google is more concerned with the quality than quantity.

And do not use Google webmaster tool for checking your backlinks, it never shows your accurate count.

I feel the same way, I find that if you build a bunch of link and then stop your site just goes to neverland or something and no where to be found on google. Atleast that's my experience

Well you guys make it sound like I'm screwed.

Bought one of those 1,000's of backlinks packages last month and now my site is on the first page of Google. However it's local market search only and also product specific (my town, my product). So......it's not like people are being redirected to some BS.

I sure can't have 1,000's of links built EVERY month, but I certainly don't want my page to "fade away" either....

I'm in the process of trying to build local links myself right now.....

Build local links? Do you mean you want to know how to use the right anchor text to come up for local searches? For example "keyword in town" ?

No. where i should be posting links at?? if there's certain places that are better. i'm assuming local forums, but what if there's not many around?

for example the most active site where I live is a forum called topix. but mostly everyone shit talks on it. so I don't really want to post on there because people would just start trashing it.
