A couple of months ago I had filled a request to Amazon MTurk, but I was rejected. On the ground, I thought, of not being an US citizen. Today I got an update saying I was being accepted. That's quite strange, so I don't really know what I should do. How do I get payed as a ROTW resident? How should I fill the tax form? Any tips, mates?

I am not familiar with MTurk but I am familiar with another important Amazon branch: Kindle. And, on Kindle, if you are non-US, you still need to obtain your EIN (for foreigners; search on Google...you will find a phone number; call them and you'll easily obtain your EIN) and, then, the easiest solution to cash out is to create a Payoneer account and use the VBA you will receive from this service (it's a Bank of America checking account, to which a Master Card will be attached and sent to you).
Again...I haven't use MTurk...you have to check the a/m info and see make sure it is valid for this Amazon business, too.

Hello,
I realize this thread is a few weeks old but just in case you didn't action the invite or others are in the same situation here are the details that I know:
1) There was a period of time that MTurk was not taking international/OUS workers. Some folks surmised that it was just based on location and while that may be so, the criteria that MTurk uses to approve accounts in proprietary and so they will almost never disclose the reasons.
2) With that being stated, your experience of being approved some time after initial being declined is valid and has been happening over the last month or so. Some people had applied years ago and then received the invitation to join. So as long as you have the green light via email you shouldn't have any reservations about moving forward.
3) I am unsure of your location so I can't say for sure what the restrictions are but for instance in India and Canada I know that new workers can only use their funds to shop on Amazon.com US (<-- yes, United States only!). This is quite inconvenient but there are some ways to get around it by using Purse.io and the like to end up with bitcoins for your funds. Amazon has stated that this is not a forever situation but it is the current situation for some countries.
4) If you don't have a SSN or tax ID typically used by Americans, you don't need one so no worries there.
5) Depending on your country you might be able to use your funds on Amazon.com or transfer to a bank account/pre-paid card. If you let me know where you are, I can try to see what options are available. Remember where you hold your identification is key not your IP address so if you are an American living in Turkey they will take you as an American but then you need to be careful of IP based surveys. That is a whole other issue but wanted to bring it up for those following along.

So I think that covers most of it. You should be able to move forward per Amazon's instructions. Let me know if you need any help. I have been on there for almost a year. Made about $6k which I am going to use to fund some IM plans. You won't get rich on MTurk but it can be good to pull together a little extra cash fairly quickly to get a blog going or buy some services.

My last warning is don't go too far into MTurk without some advice from someone who has done it for a bit.. you can make moves at the beginning that can limit your ability to qualify for higher paid HITs in the future. If you need help I can tell you how to get started.

Good luck!

MD
