Non-spammy mass messaging on Twitter?

Been digging through a few of the posts here on Twitter - some really great information.

I've got a quick question: is there any way to mass message people on Twitter without it looking spammy?

By spammy, I mean if you reply to 100 people, they can go on your profile and see you sent 100 of the same message to different people. Ideally, I'd like to be able to contact 100+ people (who aren't following me) without them knowing I sent the exact same message to the other 99.

Nope you can't.

Well I do something like that for other purposes, I don't do Twitter marketing (maybe I should).

I would be able to send topcial messages (topical to the twitter homepage of somebody). Topical means I find another userpage which is >>very<< (arbitrarily) similar to the page of the person and furthermore a matching status update there.
