non-index /index.html page link juice

Hi,

I've purchased an expired domain and built a new site on it. There are several great backlinks pointing to http://www.mydomain.com/index.html which page is not indexed in Google but it's redirected to the root domain http://www.mydomain.com

Are these links worth anything in this case? Should I get http://www.mydomain.com/index.html re-indexed to get any linkjuice from these links?

Check the backlink quality and revelancy.

No need to redirect. (if index.html redirected to home page.)
Also check your canonical URL.
