I'm not sure this is the right place to post... so admin feel free to move it or remove this and let me know where to post!

I was wondering what your strategies are for ranking a non exact match domain website... just backlink upon backlink? or what?

any help would be appreciated! PM or reply here please!!

That question seems a bit broad xD

Ranking a non emd is the same as ranking an emd. Just in case that doesnt help, Ill type out a quick simple strategy that youve probably heard before, but just in case youre new:

Have the keyword(s) in your title and description without it looking too spammy. A few unique articles with a keyword density of around 2%. After that, just focus on building links on high pr sites with anchor diversity + generic anchors like "click here" and "visit this site". It also seems effective to build links with just the site url (no anchor).

Feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

The strategy for a non-EMD is the same as for a EMD > build backlinks.

Make sure you vary your anchor texts though.
Focus mostly on naked links, secondly on generic words, and thirdly (and least) on your target keywords.

I second what KevinA said. I have ranked a non-EMD before. My keyword was in the domain, but so were extra letters. I got it as close as I could. Linkbuild! Make sure your on-page SEO is great (goes without saying I suppose).
