I've read a lot of threads about auto blogs on bhw. Probably like 275 total. It seems like a nice source of income, but you have to worry about things like getting banned from G, duplicate content, all that nonsense.

I am going to do a case study with a manual blog. I am going to see what will happen if I write 3-5 200+ word articles per day, ping them, and social bookmark them every single day. I'm going to do this for 30 days and see what kind of adsense income I begin generating. My other stuff I do is pretty much automated so I have some time to write articles and social bookmark. I might outsource some of the backlinking to my good buddy Ankur, but that is optional for anyone else that is going to attempt this.

I already have 14 posts on my blog, most are indexed. I have probably spent a total of 3-4 hours on the blog so far. I'm not looking to make it pretty, just good, keyword enriched content and quality backlinks. Might do an xrumer blast from someone on bhw, but not sure if I should go with that.

I will post updates every day or two to let people know how it goes. Any ideas or recommendations would be great.

So here it is, my first true whitehat venture. I've tried others but gave up quickly due to the amount of time it takes to see success. The goal is $50 a day from adsense alone. I am giving myself 2 months. Trying to prove that if you aren't creative enough for blackhatting, you can always roll your sleeves up and get to work.

lol nice I am doing the same thing so to speak. I dont really care for the theme you are using. the rolling under the header thing bugs my eyes out.

Yeah that theme is awful, I am going to change that. All in one seo pack, google sitemap, comment luv, sociable come to mind. What plug ins are you using?

why dont u blend the ads..i mean the colour of the background..etc

put large box before the articles in singlepost.php this is the area people click the ads most...

Just being honest man but your site looks very plain and boring.

Find a new theme, blend adsense with it and you might get more clicks.
 
If you are doing this for testing, I don't think that's a good idea to post your blog url here. You will get traffic from BHW and a few clicks because we are good :) but they will all be unrealistic. Think about it and if you are serious about testing remove the url.
 
Your blog looks very plain and simple, good thing that you didn't put too many G Ads...I wonder, how many visits are u getting on it?

Good start and very well written. I would try to add at least one medium-sized photo of each blog entry subject that you write about. If possible, add a good youtube video too! But so far pretty good! Keep on rockin' :headbang:
 
Yeah, the link is going down. Thanks for all of the tips. From now on I will just report my results and what I did for the day to update it.

OK, today I added 3 posts to the blog, including a video and a picture. Also submitted an article to ezinearticles and did a squidoo a few nights ago. Also, have done 10 social bookmarks (MANUALLY). This whitehat stuff is serious work. Also, I purchased an xrumer blast for the next day for $10.

Also, I can see where all of my traffic is coming from, so it is not really necessary to remove the url. Sure, it might affect the adsense earnings, but I am trying to get 1,000 uniques a day. If I do that, I will be able to reach my goals.

Tomorrow I plan to add 3-5 more posts, submit another article to ezine, and maybe do a hubpage. Very open to recommendations for getting the traffic up quicker. Take me off of craigslist and I am in foreign territory.

If you read the google TOS - autoblogging isn't against it ;)
 
I want full control of the content of my site. If I want to be able to work in some cpa or aff marketing links, then I can easily do that. Plus I enjoy writing to some extent. I write for a few blogs on topics I enjoy for pretty good cash.

I would not mind setting up a couple hundred auto-blogs though on blogger. Just do not want to get adsense banned. I know it's not in tos, but I find out all the time that TOS means nothing, especially with ebay and paypal.

Simple but effective. Make the ads part of the site. It'll increase clicks.

And also with Adsense, too...basing upon their TOS they can ban you for anything if they want...I hate monopolies ;/
