Hello, I'm looking to create an affiliate site, but instead of selling items on Amazon, I'd be selling items from local small businesses. The reason behind this is that I already have an Instagram account that features a very localized audience, and the items that people would be aren't necessarily on Amazon.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to run this. I'm thinking of creating some sort of system where transactions get sent into my email/Paypal, then the order gets sent to the merchant, and the merchant gets paid once the item is shipped and received (while I take a 5-10% commission). Obviously this would require me making relationships with these merchants and small businesses ahead of time.
