Hi everyone,
The latest Penguin Update affected one of my most important keywords, resulting the website to go from position 18 to 73. Other keywords are ok. I did a lot of blogging recently, but there is a local business behind the web site. Blogging was used to generate more traffic + keywords. My concern is that Ahrefs shows a lot of very popular news websites in “Competing Domains” section (BusinessInsider, NYTimes, etc). Is it possible that Google treats my web site as more of a news blog, rather than a local business? Before I started the blog section of the website, the list of “Competing Domains” was more accurate, showing my direct competitors.
Would it be smart to noindex all the blog articles? The goal is to increase rank of other, non-blog pages.
