Ok, basically I want to set a nofollow to my Contact Us and Privacy Policy Page. I'm using Contact Us Form plugin and Syon Privacy Policy plugins. How do I set a nofollow or noindex to these 2 pages?

I tried installing some 4-5 "star" plugins and they don't work at all. SEOQuake still shows them as d0f0llow.

Use platinum SEO pack, better than all in one seo with no index, nofollow option for each post/page.

If you have access to the html then:

    <a href="http://Yourcontactus.url" rel="nofollow">Contact Us</a>

Tried both all in one seo & platinum seo, both didn't work. I have the Ultimate Noindex Nofollow tool too and that too didn't work.

The only thing that is working for me is NoFollow Links plugin for my blogrolls. But I'm looking something for my pages.

Anyone got more suggestions? I think its because of my contact us plugin and privacy plugin that causes the above plugins to not work?

Maybe I`ll have to look into html :(

Editing the html might be the easiest method. Do give it a try!

Yes do look into the HTML it takes a couple seconds to do. Also, I don't see any reason to make your internal links nofollow. If your Home page gets say a PR of 4 when the next PR update rolls along, it could pass on authority and PR to your internally linked pages.

    Example:

    This happened last PR update.

1 of my sites is PR3, 3 other pages of my site that are linked on the homepage are PR2. The PR could also be attributed to link building.

I have many micro niche sites and I use platinum SEO to make pages like contact and privacy policy nofollow, noindex.

To do that go to edit->page->page that want to edit (contact us for example).
Then go down and below the page editor you will find some platinum SEO options, like edit seo title, description...etc. Below that you can choose to index, follow the page or noindex, nofollow and more combinations.

Check noindex, nofollow and done. Now go to the contact us page press ctrl+u to open the source code, and you will find a new meta, meta robots I guess which is set to noindex, nofollow.

If you link to contact us from your main page that will NOT make it rel="nofollow", but if you go to the page a new meta appears with nofollow, noindex properties so Google will not index that page.

HTML is your best bet but I'm surprised that UNN Tool didn't work for you. Maybe it doesn't support blogroll just pages. But I'm glad you brought this thread up because I made the changes because I never knew of the SEO benefits. Thanks.

I tried using platinum seo and all in one seo again and both didn't work. Installed 10 nofollow, noindex plugins all didn't work as well.

Where do I go to edit my html?

I tried going under the wordpress Editor under Appearance and can't find it there.

Platinum seo works. Do clear your cache and restart internet. If your pages are already indexed by Google it might take few days(some time weeks) to reflect changes. Be patient.

Also add rel="nofollow" in all anchor links.

And there is a word of wisdom. Don't create privacy policy and contact page before your site is indexed. Some peoples are complaining that their privacy policy outrank their homepage. Wait till you indexed then add the desired pages.

    Good luck

Thanks for the advice but I'm still looking on how to edit my html source code. I think its the plugin (Contact Us Form & Syon Privacy Policy) that I use that's causing all the nofollow/noindex plugins to have no effect.

Hi, akazzz. The following isn't the most ideal way, but one option for you. In Wordpress, make a custom menu for your page links:

    Appearance > Menu

Set a name for the menu (e.g. Primary Links), then add the pages you want. (One benefit of this, is you can make a page and have it excluded from the menu). Once you've added these pages, click screen options at the top right. Put a tick in Link Relationship (XFN). Now when you expand the options under your menu there will be a text box for Link Relationship (XFN). Just type in the nofollow for each menu entry you don't want following. Once you have saved it, you need to lastly (and importantly) set the menu in your theme. This is done in the box at the top left ("Theme Locations"). So under "Header Menu" (for example) select the name of your new custom menu and save it. This should work, unless the plugins prevent it (as you mentioned). I'm using my own privacy page and Contact Form 7, which works with the above method.
