Eventually, it doesn't pass any link juice to your domain. If you speak about your brand and your targeted audience are mostly visits the website, your branding gets value.

Also, your popularity will increase even if it is not giving the SEO values.

If it's from a reputed and relevant site will help to drive quality traffic. No follow link has its value and will diversify backlink profile, so it's good to try it.
