IMO build 70% ******** and 30% nofollow. It looks more natural than building only ******** links.

You can build 65% Do follow and 35% No follow links. That's better to build your site and safe too.

Google actually looks at your no follow to see if the url is relevant. Dont think they are just gonna put a paper bag over their head

Both ******** and nofollow links are good, if you use it properly. ******** links pass juice to your website and when any customer clicks the nofollow link he/she directly reached to your website.
