Nofollow 2009 ..... SEO change 100%

Google now crawls and indexes links within JavaScript's "onClick" events. Using JavaScript for links you don't want Google to find, for example, text ads, was a great solution. Now, it Google indexes those links, and that means, you need to slap on the nofollow attribute on those links or possibly be penalized in the future..

if you have a PageRank of 10 (I know it doesn't work this way) and you link out to ten pages, each page would get PR1. Now, if you nofollow 5 of those links, then the 5 normal links should get PR2s each. This is not the case, instead they get PR1s and the other PR5 is wasted.

is it right???

interesting post...

too many people rely on link building anyway and dont even pay attention to their own onsite optimization...

ive been saying this was going to happen for the longest time, and in a way kinda glad it has - it will certainly make for a change in the industry and will finally weed out the bullshitters from those that actually know that theres more to SEO/IM than just link building...

just as it did with all the metatag keyword stuffers... and link farm builders/users...

I had heard that Google was going to do away with nofollow because it isn't working like they had planned it to work. It's just another way for Google to keep us on our toes.

Although i know nothing about the javascript part. There has definitely been commotion about how nofollow is going to be implemented from now on. To me it seems kinda BS. It was because everyone went nuts on how to "Sculpt" their pagerank on their websites. Google/Matt Cutts constantly said it wont work (When in fact it did) and this is basically to enforce their rule that people shouldnt be doing it.

Hmm, this makes me wonder... So, what Google is saying by doing this change is that all webmasters should have LESS links overall on a page whether it be ******** or not? Because it sounds to me that if you have a site with like 5 links to begin with, that can help it rank better?

I think if you want high ranking for your site search for NOFOLLOW links NOT ********
because with nofollow you will gain more pagerank from the page
however with ******** less PR

and if you are the webmaster , you should have all of your outlink with ******** because if you still using nofollow you will lose 1/2 of PR

Yes, i got the news too. Im still watching my site, nothing is better than testing and feedback.

Why bother taking nofollow out of comments? I don't care if my commenters get pagerank or not, and the link was going to send it or lose it anyways.
