Got my site indexed finally and I'm on page...

9!!!! (WITH allintitle search!) Argh!

Have more links that some on first page, have kw in title and domain yet Im put in at page no 9?! Grrr.

Domain age also counts here. If the other websites are more established than your new site (which I presume is new if it wasn't indexed) then it could take some time to over throw the competition. SEO is a patience game. Page 9 isn't so bad either for a new website.

cheers. How long on average could i expect to get higher? Do i continue to add to it or leave it and work on other thngs/wait.

good question!!........what do you guys think?

SEO is kinda like a hit or miss game. You need to add backlinks to your website consistently...

I have a page ranked #7 just got deindexed from Google. It could be that I had been adding backlinks for a few months to the page/domain and stopped all of a sudden. It may come back, but i don't have high hopes on that.

Bottomline: keep adding good quality backlinks.

yep, seo is an everyday project. you have to continously build to be up there in the serps

age of domain seems to be the number one thing. a brand new site often gets a big bump and then goes down terriblly - i was number 11 for a specific ringtone for about a week and now, im well not very good. you have to keep content fresh and get back links etc, but age is the number one thing. when people ask, what should I spend my $200 on for seo, I always say an aged domain name that is active. you can always seo that, but you can never age and SEO'd website

How is your keyword competition?

If the domain is new, you need to definitely keep building links and content to it if you want to be seen as an authority site.

You cannot just let it sit.

You also have to focus on giving a lot of good quality content.

Domain name does play a part in your ranking, but it's definitely not everything.

If you continue on a set marketing plan and build "from the bottom up" so to speak with your keywords, then you should see some good results in no time.

Just keep on building backlinks and content. No sweat, you'll improve.

I think what you are experiencing is the "Google Dance." Don't be surprised to see another adjustment in the near future maybe for the better.
