I have gotten traffic from just making posts on a site. If you can't afford SEO services but have the time Focus on optimizing on page seo, make a ton of posts. And then use social media to help increase drive traffic to it.

I have a site that gets organic traffic without any intentional keyword density or specified meta tags. My primary focus is facebook traffic, so I haven't done any significant SEO. Altough its got tons of content about topics that have very little competition.
So, my answer is yes, you will get traffic IF you have shitloads of content in a not so competitive niche.

there are many ways to send traffic to yourself without seo and ads, like social traffic, email traffic, blog comment, guest blog post, forum traffic, viral kind traffic (if your content is good)

PTC traffic is not good. They are paid to surf your website without any interesting to your content. If your website is PTC guide with some ref links you can make some money, if not then it's trash. How much did you earn from $3500 fund?
