CJ wrote and wanted to know how I am promoting a certain advertise and why my clicks have no referrer.

What I actually do is working with MT. Of course I would not tell them this, so I wrote that I use paid search (Adwords) and banners.

Now they want to know all website urls and all keywords that trigger the adlinks and the search engine.

The problem is that my clicks have no referrer url. Why is that the case with MT? They run via my own server.

What keywords should I give them? Any hints?

CJ seems to absolutely hate/ban blank referrals

Yeah, thanks, I got that :)
but how can I optimise the way MT shows the referers? I remember that about a year ago, the referers coming from MT were still shown. Now they are not anymore. I wonder why?

You can always say that 'I'd prefer not to disclose my ref because I had this experience before with this one offer I promoted a while ago. When I gave the adverts all of my keywords and source of traffic, they suddenly didn't allow me to promote the offer and then I found out that they run the campaign themselves, using the exact info I gave them.'

Usually your AM would understand this logical explanation and you can get away with this.

BTW, what's 'MT'?

Yes, it is.
Thanks for the advice, I think I will try that.

They will probably come back with "We will have to see your referrer." I would look into faking it if they do.

Good luck $$$ :sombrero:

they will allow you to get away with saying that you don't want to give out your trade secrets stuff but you need to fix it so that you are sending them a referrer. i ran into this same problem and actually was able to have an open talk with the cj rep about my referring url. I kept telling him that i was working on it (and i was) and once i figured out how to spoof the referrer i asked him to check it again and he said things looked good.
