I have noticed that a lot of my posts get stopped by the moderation system, which is all fine and dandy, because no one likes spammers..
However I am not a spammer, and sometimes using words like "sa-le" (without the dash...) in a post don't necessarily mean that a person is actually trying to se-ll something.

So, I was just wondering if there is some list of no no words and phrases we noobs should try to steer clear of while in our probationary period..so we can avoid having to go through our post 10 times playing a guessing game, before it actually posts to the board. A few times I have had some legitimate posts trying to help someone out and just given up on trying to get them to submit due to not being able to figure out what part triggered the filter.

Good question. I guessed when I first joined and had to go over my post several times before I could post it often.
I do not have a official list per-say but I think I could recommend you to some at least common words that will
    trigger the moderation system.

    1) Any email or "@" sign.
    2) .com .net .org ect..
    3) PM me or Private Message me
    4) Email me
    5) Words or phrases like - buy, sale, and purchase.

Those are all good to avoid. The moderation system relaxes after awhile.

What that means in this use, is that if you think it may sound like spam, then the algo will probably pick it up as spam.

None of my posts felt like, or are spam.
So no, I don't feel like they are spam as I am writing them, and I have tried to sell nothing here ;)
I may ask questions, but I also try to answer every question I see that I am capable of answering.

So I just think it would be nice to have some sort of list of words that can't be said for us noobs, so that we can spend more time contributing, and less time proofreading forum posts.

ATSIGN: redclover, Thanks for the useful post :)
Maybe we can build on this list and make a useful resource to save future noobs some time?
