It depends.. I still get phone verification. I think it depends on signups from the same ip
 
Its an ip thing.infact there's g how to register gmail without phone verification.i think op accidently stumbled upon it.does it work even now?
 
But I thought everyone loved "Forced Data Mining"? Well this is good news now, but luckily I have about 250 emails that I purchased like 4-5 years ago. There are some good alternatives but with big G's monopoly you need their email for blogger, youtube and just about everything else. I hate Yahoo now for bending over to Bing.
 
It depends on the information that you register. And the ip. I sometimes get mobile phone verification. And sometimes it is not.
 
Cool. Now we'll need proxy providers for Indian proxies. Anyone up?
 
i've never been asked any verification...... but i've also had my same account for almost 2 years. just sayin'....
