I ahve a blog related to wine, with tastings, restaurant reviews and related articles-all original. I have banners, links and ADsense related to the site. I listed the site with Google, Yahoo etc but no $$ made yet. I'm a CJ affiliate. WHat am I doing wrong? Been a couple of months now

Thanks

you're not in the right niche...

are people really looking for wine samples??

what's hot right now? start over completely, and use a very hott niche, do some article marketing, and digg's/stumble's, and you'll be all set!

How much traffic are you receiving?

How many searches and competition for your keywords?

Try social bookmarking, digg etc and Yahoo answers is always worth a try for queries related to your niche...

Whats all your methods got to do more than just submit to the yahoo and the g@@gles link build rss submit wiki and yahoo answers all that stuff open a mysapce page about wine and use freindblaster to get freinds all kinds of things you can do submit atricles with your link(s)

Hey GrapeGoddess!

I wouldn't give up on the niche yet, since you have already put so much hard work into it.

Sounds like you need to take aggressive action to get more traffic to your site. One of the best ways to do that without having to pay for Adwords is to use some of the proven techniques that Howie Schwartz teaches. You can view some of his videos at the thread below:

Also, do a forum search for Howie Schwartz. There are lots of videos and audios posted in BHW.

Good luck and don't give up if you believe in your niche. After all . . . belief in yourself plays a big part of success.

why not through send cheap traffic for a month and then post it on sitepoint for 1000$ as "site with potential " if its good and the site is well done and you could sell asap and then....
Start again make a new site everything new ...niche and everything to do with it. that would prob work for quick cash and a new site :D

its not a competitive market ,thats 1 less problem ,for now...

I think it has to do with your keyword research. Also, what are you saying to get people to your site? You have to make sure your ads are clear to your audience, they need to know what you want them to do.

Your're saying wine blogging doesn't have enough interest in the general public. Not enough people are intrested in it?

Thanks much

my "pitch" isn't clear enough?

Thanks

You can sell the worst converting product in the history of the internet for the worst price in the most competitive niche in the world as long as you have the traffic. Fair enough, it might take you a million visitors but you will do it. To me it sounds like you are just lacking the traffic.
