It doesn't matter if keyword tools don't show any traffic for these phrases or if they don't appear in Google autosuggest/PAA.
There are too many hidden goldmines for keyword tools to keep track of.

If you feel like the keyword/phrase deserves a dedicated article of its own just go for it. Writing another article for your site wouldn't hurt after all. At least, do it for the sake of cementing your topical authority.

Here's an example :D
The article was published <a week ago. Already stole featured snippets for 5-6 semantic long-tailed queries (I checked all manually with US VPN) and rocking the 2nd page for another 15 or so queries. Hopefully, my article ranking for more terms with time will bring in around 4k impressions per month altogether.
Semrush did not even register most of those keywords.

So, a search query that is considered so petty by authority sites that they did not even bother to include it as a sub-topic in any of their articles, has a combined SV of ~4k/month

nice!

And I fully agree on the "write if it makes sense" part, there's been a case study on BHW about 2 years ago in which someone had targeted only keywords with ZERO search volume on his site and in 6 months he had gained 150k visitors :D

There's definitely value in targeting keywords that make sense and which bring value to your visitors...

I think you're talking about Blogmen's or Shaun Marrs' journey.
I read Blogmen's entire journey thread and I follow Shaun's youtube religiously (he deleted all old videos, unfortunately :( )
I took inspiration from them only :)

You could also follow passive income geek's older stuff
He doesn't build a lot of links for the most part
Good to go.

Yep I follow him too.
Chris Niche Safari (not active anymore), WP Eagle, Blog Sprout are great too. Way better than the mainstream SEO youtubers like IncomeSchool and such.

That's true. There are keywords that show more than 1000 searches per month and still can't get 10 pageviews per day and then there are keywords which show 0-10 searches per month but bring more than 20 pageviews per day.

Good job OP! This is inspiring.

Can you please link me to that study? :)

150k users per month ? or total users in 6 months?

I remember 150k within 6 months (not per month), but it might have been impressions instead of clicks / users. I really don't remember the specifics as it's long ago when I've read that study and back then I was so impressed by these results that I might have been misremembering things since then.

But the facts remain, and the results are still impressive regardless...

I can't believe that I actually found it LOL. I thought it was gone for good :D

Few things, though: apparently it's 150k impressions, and it's within 8 months if I read correctly, it's not clicks or users and it's not 6 months. But still, great results with mostly (not "only zero search volume" as I remembered) zero search volume keywords... Anyway, here's the link:

I don't trust tools' data too much. Once I found a keyword that used to bring 8000 unique visits to my blog every month while paid tools showed 150 visits per month.

Yes, kw volume predictions of most SEO tools are all over the place. Even Semrush lacks in this regard.

Really true, these search volumes are not accurate.
