No, Google doesn't manipulate the rankings

I would suggest for the first few months do not even look at rankings
Keep pushing content and links
Focus on quality in every segment but do not get influenced by rankings
Google is not your enemy and if you provide good, rich info and have substantial good related links, your site will definitely go up the rankings.
Dance is normal but you only need to focus on the things which you can control.

Google is always an enemy... they make less and less visibility for small publisher like us and give boost to huge companies and Google Ads!

We noticed a lot of sites, when site:yourdomain, only showing 4 or 7 result, when this happen, the site is going to die.
Yeah, it happens a lot with expired domains. I'm 99.9% sure it comes from users disliking the sites.

Even fresh domain this happens a lot, typically shit contents (scraped/translated/AI), no idea if its really the user experience lead to this, but at least now I have to say Google is pretty clever, they own most talents in the world, and really love to use AI to fuck us.

Yeah, with normals happens too, but since normals gain positions slower, the penalty is not so obvious/strong.
I think it comes from a mix of low CTR / high bounce rate, so like you said, shit content :)

every site i've ever ranked has dipped at least a few times on the way up

if your site dips and you give up its just proof to google that your site is a low-effort, thin affiliate site

if your site dips and you keep working on it -- that's when google will start to trust you

30 days your site is live? you're drawing conclusions after a month while your competition is investing $xx,xxx for years to see results.

your mindset, is the mindset of a person who will not win in this game.

Stop jumping into conclusions.

You don't know my competition, so why do you assume they invested $xx,xxx? Did you read the website is in a low-medium niche? Did anyone say it is an affiliate website? Did anyone say content is thin? Wtf? Did you magically come up with all this crap by yourself?

Then, I have ranked countless websites over the years. Earned 6-7 figures (stopped counting), so better don't talk about "mindset" or "not winning". Ridiculous.

Also, you totally missed the point. The website was ranking in the Top 10 already and then suddenly it got an algo penalty or whatever. So, even if the website would have a shit ton of competition who would invest a shit ton of money, the website would never go straight to page 7, but maybe get out of the Top 10.

Stop using expired domain as money site. This happened to me many times. You are even lucky it reached top 10.
Expired domain should be used as PBN only. If anyone else doubt me, allow us to stop wasting our time looking for luck.
Get an auction/expiring domain or better still build money site on brand new domain.
