No emails shown anymore in paypal payments?

I've noticed lately that most of my sales on ebay and payments sent from buyer's paypal is no longer showing the email address of the paypal buyer. It's only showing the username.

For example: it used to say something like, "payment received from [email protected]" but now it only says, "payment received from bobjones123" which is the username of the buyer on ebay but I have no idea what his email is now.

Is there anyway to find or see the paypal email of the buyer who paid me?

The only way I know to do this is go into paypal, click the transaction then click "see details on classic site".

It will show the buyers email near the bottom of the page.
 
Yes, you are correct. I checked that and saw it's still visible there. Strange why they have changed that?
I used to be able to see it right in my email inbox when I get paid but now it looks like I'll have to log into paypal
find the transaction, look into transaction details...so many steps just to see the email.
 
very strange anyway as a business your suppose to have a hard copy and download a digital for each sale for your own backup...

try to get in the habit of keeping files on sale receipts.

stick them in a folder .

Another 2 ways that work for me are 1. hitting reply button on the PayPal transaction email (buyer's email automatically appears in the 'send-to' field). 2. Integrate your Ebay with Linnworks (and export emails in the excel file)
 
I've had this issue to, but it;s been very inconsistent, sometimes I see the "You got money" , "Payment received from", etc. They just started showing the username only, I haven't gotten one with an e-mail in it n forever. But if you click the email if it's from eBay it will usually have their info in it.
 
Yes, it's being long time. when paypal changes his format and looks from that time i think it's not showing email ID.
