No decent keyword for my client's website

I have exhausted all possibilities and wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I have a client that paid me to install a forum and now wants to pay me to SEO it. I would gladly do so except I cant find a single decent keyword to even put into marketsamurai, adwords keyword tools or any other program I use.


Wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I normally have no problem and its a matter of deciding which one to attack. However, in this situation I cant even find one to begin with...

The website is about how great it is to be fat and how it should be more widely accepted in society. The premise is you should be happy with yourself if you are overweight and not try to diet or lose weight.

Anytime I start with "Fat ____" I get into the fat loss niche, which this is total opposite of...

Either that or I get into pictures of fat women in porn, etc.


I am just trying to do what my client wants here.... I would have never picked this niche as its crap imo...lol

Anyhow, maybe you can look into keywords like big beautiful women, big and beautiful, plus size, love being big, etc

Pretty common euphemism. Not a ton of searches but hey, what do you expect?

Why are you going with " fat " at all?

You should be researching and focusing on the perspective of the site that will attract people to it. Go with the keywords for the ' happy with yourself ' campaign...there are 100's of keywords for that niche and this would simply be a spin on that philosophy.

I think you are taking the hardest approach possible to a market that is VERY pleased to hear this is coming from the way people are embrasing the larger members of the world stage as the people they are.

From an seo standing, I wouldn't touch the ' fat ' market with a thousand mile range missle, much less a 10 foot pole. Take the high road and go as it should be presented, in an inspirational light.

Tip on consulting: Next time you take someone's money from them to do this line of work, quote the job by investigating your keyword market approach before committing and having to post it here again. You lose business if we don't answer for you and you can't follow through on the job.

I mean this in the most sincere and just manner I can possibly say it in. Don't work as an seo consultant until you have successfully worked in seo. I see this all the time, it is nothing personal to you, it is to anyone that does this. This thread is standing proof that you are NOT ready to take anyone's money in this field and to continue to do so would be stealing from them.

Hope this helps and gives you food for thought about your current approach to an industry that I do successfully work in. I worked on a portfolio of 60 profitable sites that are in my business network, field testing EVERYTHING before ever taking any clients on to risk their sites. Know your stuff before you cross the wrong client and get stuffed due to one bad word of mouth review.

That's all it takes to ruin your business for good.
