I wanted to share my journey of how I went from knowing absolutely nothing about coding to building a website that generates between $3,000 to $4,000 per month through ads.

A bit of background: I had no prior experience in coding or website development. But I was passionate about creating a entertainment site, so I decided to take the leap. I spent countless hours learning the basics of web development, familiarizing myself with technologies like Laravel, PHP, and JavaScript.

My website, watch.ug and watchug.to , is a modern platform that offers users access to entertainment. I built a clean, user-friendly interface inspired by other big brands.

The real turning point came when I realized I could monetize the site through ad networks. I partnered with various ad providers and focused on building traffic by optimizing the user experience and content offerings.

A lot of trial and error went into perfecting the site, but after several months, I started seeing steady traffic and ad revenue. Today, the site consistently generates $3-4K per month, which is incredible considering I started with no technical knowledge.

Key takeaways from my journey:

1. **Start small**: Don't try to build everything at once. Focus on a simple, solid concept first.
2. **Learn as you go**: There are tons of free resources to learn web development and monetization strategies. Take advantage of them!
3. **Persistence is key**: The process can be frustrating, but keep pushing through the challenges.
4. **Monetize early**: Even if your site isn’t perfect, you can start monetizing through ads or affiliate programs to cover costs and start seeing revenue.

I'm incredibly proud of how far I've come, and I hope this story can inspire others who might be thinking about building their own site or starting a business. If you're willing to put in the work and learn along the way, you can achieve great things—even without a technical background. Recently my domain watchug.com got suspended and i didnt have a plan if that would happen, and it made the traffic drop alot. To prevent this from happening again i will open a group.

Happy to answer any questions and share more details about my journey!

Im looking to start another ads based website if anyone wanna partner up let me know.

Best of luck with your journey. What is your traffic source and how do you manage domain suspension?

Thanks 90% of my traffic are from social media. I learned later that you shouldnt buy common domains like .com as they can get shut down easy. After suspension i bought .to and .ug domain which are a bit harder to shut down. Most important is to keep the users updated if something would happen with current domain that there is another backup domain.

What's your traffic to generate such revenue numbers?

Can you give some tips on promoting the website via social?

Good luck bro. Btw how many websites do you have?

Wish you the best for your Journey! Keep the updates!

I am a professional Laravel developer but lack at other skills. Would you like to have a little chat on discord or something? I'd love to find out more about your project.

Good for you. Sounds like you took time to fine tune and direct your own learning....kudos for that. Hope it all goes well for you!

How much are your monthly costs? And where do you host your app?

good luck in your journey, sometimes you need to take a leep of faith and just go try an error hope you can achieve your goal.

Nice, what social do u use to promote your site?

Inspiring. Goodluck. What tech stack did you ultimately use? A no code platform?

But I was passionate about creating a entertainment site,

My website, watch.ug and watchug.to , is a modern platform that offers users access to entertainment.

Why are you (OP) using all those euphemisms ("entertainment website") as if you're talking about your CV and trying to make things sound more pompous than they are? Just use clear language. You created a video streaming website with pirated shows and movies. There: Direct and with no subterfuges.

Its still entertainment

All the best to you but honestly this just seems like advertisement of you movie streaming site and just another way to get more traffic to your site. No one will willingly share their websites/url on this forum.

Incredible journey. It's really inspiring.

You got me here. I always try to make everything perfect. I rather try to have everything finished before starting and I never start. I'm always missing something despite having practically everything.

3. **Persistence is key**: The process can be frustrating, but keep pushing through the challenges.
Persistence, something i’m trying to work out.
Frustration is also a bad company, both are part of my daily life.

Maybe because there are fewer achievements despite trying so hard. At the moment I only want to achieve one thing, it's really what I want and I'm focusing all my time on it.

Likewise, thank you for sharing. Very helpful to me.
