Looks to me that yahoo site explorer has some issues now.
so there must be links to it , unless he used some real nice unique content.

If you want to have #1 with any keywords, you can buy a domain as: Iwanthavetopone.com and setup, I think you can easy get #1.

I also find hard to trust any SEO tool. Siteexplorer has definitely some serious issues right now, so is gkeywordtool. I have low niche sites that have at least 5 visitors a day from keywords that show less than 10 monthly on gkeywordtool and that's when I'm ranked number 8. At the same time I'm ranked number one for keywords that have decent search amounts according to the tool & I barely ever see any visitors from that keyword.
