no backlinks from comments?

I've tried these comment post kahuna and freeblogcommenter to find high pr ******** blogs, I should at least have 50 by now. Yahoo site explorer doesn't show any of them.

You will need to be patient, not only does the owner of the blog have to OK the comment for it to be posted then the SEs need to come round to that page and see that your link is there then it will show up in the siteexplorer SERPs but it isn't necessarilly right away that it will list your links anyway, you just gotta be patient Im afraid, just know that if the comments were useful they will stick and you will get a backlink.

Jim is right. Yahoo is slow in updating their backlink list. Sometimes I have to wait at least a week before anything shows up, and some don't show up even if the comment was approved. It's erratic sometimes.
