I have aprox 12.000 views as of two days ago, but my channel is 5 years old, I had around 500k views and when I deleted the videos they views also disappeared.

Now I have 12.000 but still no ads? Why is that? My content is original and I work really hard to make it. The views are aprox 90 percent fake and 10 percent real. [twitter, facebook, etc] though I dont think that matters in any way.

I didnt have to go through an approval process for my videos, they were monetized even when I had 100 views but no ads were showing.

Seriously. I want serious answers. What could be the problem? If YouTube didnt count the 500k lifetime views because I deleted the videos, hence the views disappearing, even though that`s what they say on their new partners guidelines, now I have surpassed the minimum 10k.

I`ve made just a couple of cents from YouTube Red subscriptions. Ad rates page shows no data for the last month since I started uploading again. Do they actually review my channel manually?

I`ve tried visiting my YouTube video from different sources and IPs [different countries] but I still dont see any ads. Forgot to mention, Im partnered with those blood sucking demons BBTV if that makes any difference.

What is the niche of your videos. I have heard that now advertisers have the options to stop showing ads on videos that they dont feel would convert. I am not sure if thats correct or not.
Try uploading some more videos and see if you get ads on them.

Why do these threads always have to end up in "question - answer" mode?

If you people would just include ALL relevant details in your OP then you might get an appropriate answer before the thread goes to 3+ pages.

How could you NOT think it would be relevant to include what niche your videos are in?

SHIT! I completely forgot. I upload music. Mainly pop and sometimes alternative rock so my videos are always set to "Music" when having to categorize them on YT upload page.

Although its explicit content for 50 percent of the videos they are available to the general public, I have set no exceptions, or not that I know of.

The videos are from 2 minutes long to 3 minutes long. I have MADE 20 cents from YouTube red views but those dont work ads based but subscription based.

I have just uploaded a new lyric video yesterday, pushed 1000 views from which around 100 were real, I watched the video on 3 different browsers, with default settings, disabled the ad blocker on chrome, changed my ip to an elite one, still no ads on my videos.

AGAIN, my videos are 100 percent original, my voice, my instrumental, my own artwork, etc.

Could I be blacklisted or something? Is that a possibility? Am I still in review? Could it also be because the videos were uploaded from a third world country, I mean does that matter? I know that the ads are shown based on the viewer IP not the other way around. Has something changed?

Just as an UPDATE, since no one else posted anything. I have made almost 20 cents from just 10 views, when I started an ad campaign on Facebook and this is extremely frustrating. It seems my ads are not showing to everyone, no matter if you`re from USA or Zanzibar, no matter if you used your IP for DDOSing and its blacklisted or not.

So if none of that matters, what the hell does? Why are 99 percent of the REAL people watching my video not getting ads, and just 10 plays from Facebook got me 20 cents in one hour? I cant possibly think of anything. I guess my last option is turning skippable ads on and seeing what happens then.

Wow! 27 dollars for 240k views.. CRAZY. What is the ratio between real and TE views from those 270k views? Also are you partnered with a YouTube network or directly with Adsense?

I thought the boycott was over for months now. Is it still that bad? I also read somewhere that the advertisers have no option anyway, Google owns YouTube and a lot of other websites and they`re the biggest traffic receivers so they had to come back no matter what and I actually thought things were back to normal.

Im partnered with BBTV and if I`m right advertisers actually go through them not YouTube per se. I may be wrong though. As far as I know the music channels have one of the widest audience hence 80% of the advertisers should theoretically show ads on music channels.

The boycott is far from over and is still going on and nothing is going to change anytime soon. It does not affect websites....only Youtube videos. If you think Google holds that much power over the biggest corporations in the world then you are very wrong as you can see from your zero Ads!

Bummer! So there`s nothing I can do basically. What are they trying to win over this boycotting, cheaper ads? The only way to make money now on YT is to have those weird offers then where you get a percentage off the sale. Too bad Im in it for real and I`ve worked my ass off to make those videos, otherwise I guess I would of gave it a try.

Thanks for the answers though, I guess its clear now as to why ads are not showing even though I can always see those yellow small bars on my videos playback bar.

Ok, this will be last update for those who are just starting out, YOU CAN MAKE MONEY on YT. It seems that after I went over 10k views, even though things were not looking good, they are now.

I have turned the skippable ads on and I`ve made almost 3 dollars for a little over 120 views ( 90 of them were from the US ) these were ALL TE views. I sadly disabled the skippable ads yesterday thinking its not working and I`ve probably lost quite some revenue by today, but I turned back on as soon as I saw the ads are working.
The other ads were barely giving me a couple of cents, but it seems the skippable ads are the answer, Im guessing the non skippable ads have a even better CPM but I`m actually afraid to try them because of the viewership loss.

For those who are just finding this thread, my niche is Music and I DO upload only 100 percent original content, I am also partnered with BBTV.

Good luck to everyone just starting out, its still possible to make money on YT from just ADS!
