Nigerian scammers!!!

When i post a video, there are so many bot comments, which hurt my audience retention stats.

When i see the analytics, they are all from nigeria. Its so disguting.

They comment like ' i found, mr x, he made me 10 btc last week '. Contact his WhatsApp. Bla bla.

Does that even work? Wth is this? So dumb.

How do i stop it except removing comments one by one?

What if they have used Nigeria VPN, knowing fully well that is where your mind will go.?

I dont care what they use. Nigerian retention is 4-8 seconds while us/uk and rest are minimum 2 min. Maximum 4 min.

Inside YouTube Studio settings you have an option to block words by choice. Comments containing these words will automatically get hidden.

Block words such as “whatsapp” , “contact” or ones which they use mostly, but not general broad ones which can be contained in a legitimate comments.

You can block YouTube accounts too. The option is is inside YouTube Community box i think.

You can use YouTube comment filters to block out all sorts of keywords you want

You can block those comments Inside youtube studio settings, but still they will continue doing the same is a battle to know who give up first hope those comments stop in your channel.

Spam comments are still count as engagement to youtube also and will still considered your video as active community. Youtube also loves these engagement

Youtube is like a blog post, you can turn on off comments, filter comments, delete them.
Spammers are everywhere, I mean you gotta find solution and try to stay ahead.
I am getting spam on Instagram comments. O well.

Block "all comments" at least the first 6 hours.. and then reactivate them.
the bots look for new videos

use comment filter option, or block spammer account if they use same account again and again.

I think you have some prefilled filters to block spam comments, why not use them

Technically it is still an engagement, negative or positive comment still counts as an engagement in the eyes of youtube.

If the filters don't help you (which they should), you can enable the "Increase strictness" or "Hold all comments for review".

You can try filter, but at this point it's just part of YouTube just see even big youtuber struggle with these spammy comment. And they have fund to hire hundred of people to remove this with bot manually or any other way.
