theyre not all scams..in fact im waiting to receive my check from a nigerian prince who told me my great uncle passed away and left me a 34,000,000,000 (yes billions!) inheritance. I had to give him 400k as a safe deposit to get the check..but wow look at that ROI! I havent told my wife I pulled two loans against our mortgage and used our savings and maxed our credit cards to obtain that 400k but shell be happy once I get the 34 billion dollars.

R u serious?

It is not fair if you keep branding every nigerian a scammer or 419. The fact a few people are bad does not make a whole country with 150 million inhabitants bad. I can tell you that the number of scam mails emanating from united states and china far outweighs what comes out of Nigeria. It's a media stunt and its not fair. I can only advice you to be careful who you deal with.

Moreover there are thousands of europeans living in Nigeria. If you know any of them, they can tell you more about the people and not the few bad ones some of you are unfortunate to meet. Come to think of it, whoever falls for such scam mails is a greedy person himself.

Don't worry guys Rick The Mullet Man and Alabama Yokel are looking out for us :D

It appears there are alot of Nigerians in this thread, No body talks about re-branding Nigeria program going on now. Only greedy people fall into the plot.

Check your desire to reap were you did not sow.

Summarily, it is the European that are the scammers in this context.

Wanting to reap were they did not invest. Prove me wrong?

Scammable people must be greedy by definition? That's a new one.
