Can't seem to find the image method to use this with. Found a thread by harro but can't really get my head around how he's doing it.

Is this right? How do i set a cookie in my affiliate link.

adding a linked image in a forum that supports BBCode is easy. Just do this:

Great idea. I used to put up a funny pic on comments in myspace with a link back to my site. Goog used to love it especially for new sites.

Why you guys are so excited...I saw that many times on tons of spammed forums ...
The problem is that smiley is without an anchor so its only good for indexing purposes. You can use title/alt tag but its not so effective as anchor.

yeh im not sure how well it works for seo purposes but sure there are other ways to use this

I dont think its that powerful because there is no anchor text / etc etc therfore its not nearly as powerful as you guys think
 
you know you can even improve it if you use your own image named the keyword you are going after too, maybe?
 
Hmm. I cant remember if it was skype or msn, but you can make your own smiley for it, theyre doing something special, i cant remember what though. Im gonna apply this idea right there.
 
Nice trick ;) But just one query wouldn't hidden links hurt from SEO point of view?
