Hi Guys,

I am currently researching the idea of starting a website based on car hire in one specific region. I was thinking about making an affiliate website regarding this region and just redirect the people to a big car rental company.

Anybody ever done this? If yes, did you make it a blog style or more like a booking type website?

I've not tried, but car rental is covered by the mega travel comparison sites etc...
As with all niches, keyword volume and difficulty are key to success. Check the metrics, take a view on your skills vs the difficulty and go for it if think their is a chance.

I've tried this before and had a moderate amount of success. The trick is to go for long tail niche keywords particularly on things people struggle to hire or general issues, like Spain for instance struggle with a lot of companies being full to full policies, or getting lower deposits via zero excess wavers... all that good stuff

I had the exact same question because I was trying to make a marketplace in my niche.
