What is better for reg expired domain these days?

e.g
Niche domain with RD 50(let's say about 10 links are from authority sites in that niche)
vs
General domain with RD100(20 links from authority sites as well but not from my niche)

I would go with Niche domain.

It have no more difference for these 2 domains metrics so you can go with niche domains and build the backlinks then RD will increase soon.

If you can repurpose that 100RD domain for your niche, then 100RD domain for sure.

Assuming all these links point to HQ, If it's a niche you want to be in, then niche wins. For PBN, I always take the higher RD.
