Niche URLs and Local SEO question

Looking for answers on the following.

If I have a URL such as bostonweddingdiscjockeys.com, will that inclusion of the strong "boston" give me better SERPs for a user who is actuall IN Boston that is searching for "wedding disc jockeys".
 
not necessarily. EMD / PMD domains have stopped working with google several years ago, even local ones. Nowadays it's about authority, trust and expertise (you know, the EAT bullcrap). And it's also about your competition, if your competitors have better domains and better content they'll outrank you, with or without "boston" in your domain
